aespa Returns to Lotte Duty Free as Global Brand Ambassadors for 2026
Lotte Duty Free has reappointed aespa as global brand ambassadors, completing the South Korean travel retailer's K-pop ambassador lineup for 2026.
March 10, 2026
aespa is back at Lotte Duty Free. Four years after their first partnership, Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning have officially rejoined the South Korean travel retailer as global brand ambassadors, completing the company's K-pop lineup for 2026.
The Return
Lotte Duty Free confirmed the reappointment on March 9, 2026, after a "Who's Next?" teaser video posted to its official social media channels on March 5 sent fans speculating. aespa joins KickFlip and Hearts2Hearts, who were announced earlier this year, to complete the retailer's ambassador roster for the year.
The move is a deliberate callback to a partnership that worked. aespa first signed with Lotte Duty Free in 2022, and that collaboration ran for around two years before concluding in 2024. According to the retailer, the decision to bring the group back was driven directly by the success of that original deal, which the company credits with strengthening its brand value during a period of aggressive international expansion.
The Strategic Play
Lotte Duty Free is targeting international shoppers in Japan, Greater China, and Southeast Asia, three markets where aespa's fanbase is especially concentrated. The group's reach in those regions makes them a calculated choice: their presence in campaigns can drive foot traffic from international tourists, not just domestic shoppers.
Namgung Pyo, Head of Marketing at Lotte Duty Free, said in a statement: "We expect to maximise global marketing synergies by collaborating again with aespa, a representative K-pop artist. Lotte Duty Free plans to strengthen customised marketing this year to provide differentiated shopping experiences to global customers."
In practice, that means outdoor advertising campaigns at key Seoul locations including the Myeong-dong flagship store and World Tower branch, alongside digital campaigns across social media. Branded video content and exclusive merchandise featuring aespa, KickFlip, and Hearts2Hearts will roll out across the retailer's 17 domestic and international stores.
Where aespa Stands Right Now
The reappointment arrives at a high point for the group. In 2025, aespa recorded their seventh million-seller with the mini album Rich Man, while their third world tour, SYNK: aeXIS LINE, brought them to arenas across multiple international markets. That kind of momentum is exactly what makes them an attractive commercial partner heading into 2026.
Lotte Duty Free's own infrastructure is also getting an upgrade. The retailer's Star Avenue attraction at its Myeongdong flagship reopened in January 2026 following a renovation that integrated new digital media elements and has already drawn over 700,000 visitors in its first two months. aespa's campaign content is expected to feed directly into that experiential push.
