Huening Kai
Huening Kai (휴닝카이), born August 14, 2002, in California, USA, is a South Korean-American singer, drummer, and multi-instrumentalist. The youngest member (maknae) of TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) under BIGHIT MUSIC, he was born Kai Kamal Huening to a Korean mother and a German-Brazilian father. His multicultural background and technical musicianship bring a distinctive dimension to TXT.
Among the most prolific songwriters in the group, Huening Kai holds writing and production credits on tracks including Roller Coaster, Blue Spring, Maze in the Mirror, and Kitto Zutto from TXT's Japanese album CHIKAI (2024). He debuted with TXT on March 4, 2019.
His work extends beyond TXT: in 2024, he collaborated with fellow member Taehyun on Can't Stop, an OST for the Korean drama Brewing Love. The duo returned in February 2025 with Surfing in the Moonlight.
Huening Kai comes from a remarkably musical family. His older sister Lea (Lea Navvab Huening) is a solo artist and former member of K-pop group VIVA. His younger sister Huening Bahiyyih competed on Girls Planet 999 and debuted in Kep1er. He is one of the most technically gifted performers of his generation, equally at home drumming on stage as writing and producing in the studio.
