Yeonjun of TOMORROW X TOGETHER (투모로우바이투게더) has made history as the first Korean artist to appear on the official soundtrack of the World Baseball Classic, landing alongside global acts Becky G and Myke Towers on a track produced by two-time Grammy winner Tainy. The song, "Make It Count," dropped March 5, 2026, on all major streaming platforms as the lead single from the first-ever WBC soundtrack album. This is not a footnote. It is a milestone.
What "Make It Count" Actually Is
"Make It Count" is the lead track from a three-song album released for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, a tournament that has historically drawn its anthem from a single artist. This year, MLB went bigger. Tainy, the Puerto Rican producer behind some of reggaeton and pop's most defining moments of the last decade, helmed the project and recruited a genuinely global lineup: Becky G representing the US Latin crossover market, Myke Towers from Puerto Rico, and Yeonjun carrying the K-pop flag.
Yeonjun contributes portions of his verse in Korean, making this the first time the Korean language has appeared in official WBC music. BigHit Music confirmed he is the only Korean artist featured on the soundtrack.
Why This Matters for K-Pop
K-pop and global sports have been flirting for years. BTS performed at the 2018 FIFA World Cup draw ceremony. Stray Kids co-wrote the League of Legends Worlds 2023 anthem. But the World Baseball Classic carries a specific cultural weight in East Asia, where baseball is a dominant sport in South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. Selecting a Korean artist for the official anthem is not just a music decision. It is a statement about who watches this tournament and where MLB sees its future audience.
For Yeonjun, the placement speaks to a solo profile that has grown steadily alongside TXT's collective rise. His English fluency, distinct rap style, and fashion-forward image make him a natural crossover candidate. Landing on a project of this scale, with multilingual execution, is exactly the kind of move that accelerates a global solo career.

What Is Next for TXT
TOMORROW X TOGETHER is building toward one of their biggest years. The group, which includes Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai, just wrapped three sold-out anniversary shows in Seoul celebrating seven years since debut. Their eighth EP, "7th Year: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns," arrives April 13, 2026, and will be the first group release since all five members renewed their contracts with BigHit Music last August. A Japan tour follows in May and June.
"Make It Count" serves as the ideal pre-album moment for Yeonjun: global visibility, a blue-chip production credit, and proof that HYBE's international artist development strategy is landing exactly where it needs to.
