BigHit Music

BigHit Music is the label behind BTS and the cornerstone of the HYBE multi-label system. Originally the parent company itself, founded by Bang Si-hyuk in 2005, it was restructured into a standalone label within HYBE Corporation in 2021. The label manages BTS and every solo project that comes out of the group: RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. From album production to the logistics of a multi-continent world tour, BigHit Music runs the operation that turned seven trainees into the biggest act in modern pop. What set BigHit apart from its competitors was a willingness to give artists real creative control. BTS were writing lyrics, co-producing tracks, and shaping their own narrative from early in their career -- long before that became an industry talking point. That artist-first approach became a blueprint the broader K-pop industry has spent the last decade trying to replicate. The label's defining moment in 2026 is ARIRANG, BTS's full-group studio album announced January 4, 2026 -- the group's first new music together after each member completed mandatory military service. Pre-orders crossed four million copies within days of announcement, with the album's title referencing the Korean folk song of the same name. Big Hit Music described ARIRANG as capturing "BTS' identity as a group that began in Korea." The accompanying world tour, BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG', will span multiple continents with live cinema viewings coordinated through Trafalgar Releasing. ARIRANG is scheduled for release on March 20, 2026, and marks not just a commercial moment but a cultural one.
