Huh Yunjin
Huh Yunjin (허윤진, born October 8, 2001) functions as LE SSERAFIM's creative engine, contributing songwriting credits to nearly every project since debut. Born in South Korea but raised in Niskayuna, New York, she brings a distinctly bicultural perspective to the group.
Yunjin moved to the US at eight months old, growing up as Jennifer Huh while pursuing musical theater at Niskayuna High School. At 16, she returned to Korea to train with Pledis Entertainment, entering Produce 48 in 2018. She finished 26th, missing the IZ*ONE lineup.
She nearly left the industry entirely. After returning to the US and preparing for college, HYBE contacted her in 2021 with an offer to join Source Music's new girl group. She accepted, debuting as LE SSERAFIM's sixth revealed member on May 2, 2022.
Since debut, Yunjin has become the group's most prolific songwriter. She wrote on "Blue Flame" (Fearless), "Impurities," "No Celestial," and "Good Parts" (Antifragile), plus solo releases "Raise Y_our Glass" and "I ≠ Doll." The latter track, a critique of idol objectification, showcased her willingness to challenge industry norms. At the 2024 MTV VMAs, LE SSERAFIM won PUSH Performance of the Year for "Easy."
