Source Music
HYBE subsidiary Source Music (쏘스뮤직) stands as one of K-pop's most resilient labels. Founded in 2009 by So Sung-jin, the company built its reputation through GFriend's dominance of the 2015-2021 era before engineering one of the industry's most successful relaunches.
In July 2019, HYBE Corporation acquired Source Music, integrating the label into its multi-label structure while preserving operational independence. The acquisition set the stage for the label's transformation: after GFriend's disbandment in May 2021, Source Music pivoted to develop a new flagship act.
That act was LE SSERAFIM. Launched in May 2022 with former IZ*ONE members Sakura and Kim Chaewon as anchors, the group became the fastest K-pop girl group to debut on the Billboard 200 at the time. Their 2023 single "Perfect Night" topped Circle Digital Chart for six weeks, while 2024's "Easy" marked their first Billboard Hot 100 entry.
Source Music operates from HYBE's Yongsan headquarters in Seoul, distributing through YG Plus under the HYBE umbrella.
