INFINITE

INFINITE (인피니트) is a South Korean boy band that defined second-generation K-pop choreography standards. Formed by Woollim Entertainment in 2010, the group currently consists of six members: Sungkyu, Dongwoo, Woohyun, Sungyeol, L (Kim Myung-soo), and Sungjong. Original member Hoya departed in August 2017. The group debuted on June 9, 2010 with the EP First Invasion and quickly distinguished themselves through military-precise synchronized choreography that earned them the nickname "knife-like dancing." Their 2012 single "The Chaser" remains a defining K-pop achievement, ranked by Billboard as the third best K-pop song of the entire 2010s decade and included in Rolling Stone's 75 Greatest Boy Band Songs of All Time. INFINITE's commercial breakthrough came with "Be Mine" (2011), which earned them their first music show win. The momentum continued through "Man in Love" (2013) and "Last Romeo" (2014), establishing them as consistent chart performers. In 2014, INFINITE became the first Korean act to top Billboard's Emerging Artists chart, signaling their growing international appeal. The group pioneered the concept of synchronized performance at a time when raw energy often trumped precision. Their choreographer, Son Sung-deuk, crafted routines that required perfect timing across all members, raising the bar for idol group performances industry-wide. Following military service completions, the members renewed contracts in 2022 and launched INFINITE Company, their own management entity. They released comeback mini album Like INFINITE in March 2025, marking their official reunion after years of individual activities. The six members continue balancing group work with solo careers in acting, hosting, and music, demonstrating the sustainable model they built through over a decade of consistent artistry.
