Jaehee

Kim Dae-young (김대영), known as Jaehee, is the main vocalist of NCT WISH, the six-member unit launched by SM Entertainment as the final fixed team in the wider NCT structure. Born in Daegu on June 21, 2005, he is one of the clearest examples of how fast SM can move when a voice fits the brief. He was reportedly scouted after attending an NCT 127 show, trained for only a short stretch, and still entered the NCT WISH rollout with enough control to become the group's primary vocal center.

That matters because NCT WISH is built on brightness and lift. Jaehee supplies a lot of both. His tone carries the melodic peaks of the group's material without flattening the feeling, which is why he stays central across Wish, WISHFUL, poppop, COLOR, and Ode To Love. He does not just hit the high notes. He gives the songs emotional shape.

Inside a group that had to introduce a fresh unit concept while still feeling recognizably NCT, Jaehee became one of the members who made the transition easy to hear. His voice gives the project credibility, and that has made him one of the most important young singers in SM's current male-idol pipeline.
