NCT WISH

NCT WISH (엔시티 위시) is the sixth and final sub-unit of SM Entertainment's expansive NCT universe. Based in Tokyo and comprising six members, the group debuted on February 28, 2024, with the single "Wish," released simultaneously in Japanese and Korean. Produced by BoA until her departure from SM in 2025, NCT WISH blends J-pop brightness with K-pop precision across a sound that leans youthful and melodic. Formed through the 2023 survival show NCT Universe: Lastart, the unit brought together Korean and Japanese trainees under one roof. Before the official debut, the group built momentum with a 28-show pre-debut tour across 10 Japanese cities and the single "Hands Up." Their debut single "Wish" earned them a music show win on The Show just 21 days after release. The group followed up with Japanese single "Songbird" in June 2024, then pivoted to Korean promotions with their first mini album Steady in October 2024 and Japanese full album Wishful in November 2024. Their trajectory has been rapid: fan meetings across five cities sold out in minutes, and their presence at GirlsAward 2024 cemented their crossover appeal. NCT WISH occupies a unique position as a bridge between SM's Korean and Japanese operations, with dual-language releases and promotion strategies that keep them active on both sides of the Sea of Japan.
