Jang Ye-eun

Jang Ye-eun (장예은), better known as J, is the youngest member of STAYC and part of the six-member lineup that turned High Up Entertainment from a producer-led startup into a company with real girl-group weight. She debuted on November 12, 2020 with Star to a Young Culture, joining a launch built around the songwriting identity of Black Eyed Pilseung but sustained by clear member contrast.

That contrast is where J matters most. STAYC works because each member cuts through differently, and J gives the group a lower-toned, more grounded presence that stops the lineup from feeling overly polished in one direction. As the catalog expanded from early breakout singles into bigger album cycles and a first Japanese full-length era, her role became easier to read as part of the group's long-term shape rather than just its debut framing.

By 2026, STAYC had already built enough release history to move beyond rookie descriptors, while High Up began opening its next roster chapter with UNCHILD. J's page matters inside that broader ecosystem. She is not only STAYC's maknae.
