JiU (지유), born Kim Minji (김민지) on May 17, 1994, is a South Korean singer and the founding leader of K-pop girl group Dreamcatcher. She first debuted on September 18, 2014 as a member of MINX under Happyface Entertainment, and re-debuted with the expanded lineup as Dreamcatcher on January 13, 2017. As group leader for nearly a decade, JiU has been the face of Dreamcatcher's continuity -- navigating member schedules, international tours, and the label's restructuring while keeping the InSomnia fanbase engaged.
JiU participated in the YG survival show MIXNINE in October 2017 under her birth name Kim Minji, and in 2024 contributed to the Brewing Love OST Part 6 alongside groupmate Yoohyeon. In April 2025, Dreamcatcher Company announced its first official sub-unit: UAU, comprising JiU, SuA, and Yoohyeon. The trio debuted on May 28, 2025 with the extended play Playlist #You Are You, allowing JiU to explore a pop sound distinct from Dreamcatcher's darker rock aesthetic.
