Jung Chaeyeon

Jung Chaeyeon (born December 1, 1997, in Suncheon, South Korea), known by the mononym Chaeyeon, is a South Korean actress and singer recognized for her versatile presence across K-drama and K-pop. She first rose to national attention in 2016 as a finalist on Mnet's Produce 101, finishing 7th to debut with the project group I.O.I. Prior to that, she had already debuted as a member of girl group DIA under MBK Entertainment in September 2015. After I.O.I's disbandment in 2017, Chaeyeon pivoted to acting with steady momentum. Her early web drama appearances in 109 Strange Things and I Am... demonstrated natural on-screen ease, while her lead in the KakaoTV romance series To. Jenny (2018) and Netflix's My First First Love (2019) introduced her to international streaming audiences. A career-defining turn came with the KBS2 historical drama The King's Affection (2021), where her performance as the female lead drew strong praise alongside Park Eun-bin's dual role as prince and princess.
