Lee Seung Yoon

Lee Seung Yoon (이승윤; born August 21, 1989, South Korea) has spent more than a decade quietly accumulating one of the most distinctive bodies of work in Korean independent rock and folk. He began making music publicly as a member of the indie rock group Dda Band in 2012, before debuting as a soloist in 2013. From 2019 to 2021, he served as lead vocalist of the rock band Alary-Kansion, adding an electric group dimension to a catalog otherwise defined by introspective singer-songwriter work. The turning point came in 2021 when he won the inaugural season of JTBC's Sing Again, a competition spotlighting artists who had debuted without receiving the mainstream recognition their work merited. His first-place finish introduced him to a broader audience while allowing him to remain entirely himself. Signed to independent label Mareumo in July 2022, he released three full-length albums: Even If Things Fall Apart (2021), Shelter of Dreams (2022), and Yeok Seong (2024). Forbes Korea ranked him 34th on its Power Celebrity 40 in 2022 and 29th in 2023. A regular presence on KBS's The Seasons and a proven festival headliner, he has built fandom loyalty through consistent live performance. PunKanon won Best Rock Song at the 23rd Korean Music Awards in 2026. He is scheduled to headline The Glow 2026 festival on March 21 at KINTEX, Goyang. He married in March 2025 after nine years together.
