OWIS
OWIS (오위스) is the five-member virtual girl group launched by ama (all my anecdotes) and shaped by producer Lee Hae-in. Short for Only When I Sleep, the act debuted on March 23, 2026 with the mini album MUSEUM, entering a virtual-idol field that is getting more crowded but not necessarily more coherent. OWIS stands out because the concept is not treated like decoration. Storytelling, track sequencing, member roles, and visual rollout all point in the same direction.
The lineup consists of Serin, Haru, Summer, Soi, and Yuni. Their debut framing revolves around a so-called Museum of Memories, a dream-space where emotions and lost fragments are collected like exhibits. That premise could have collapsed into lore overload. Instead, OWIS used webtoon-style teasers, diary entries, ticket-like visuals, and audio-guide content to make the project legible even to fans who do not usually buy into heavy narrative scaffolding.
MUSEUM arrived with eight tracks, which is unusually ambitious for a first EP, and several members including Serin, Summer, and Soi were credited in songwriting and composition. That gave the group something many virtual acts still struggle to establish at launch: a sense of internal authorship. With Lee Hae-in's creative track record already tied to breakout K-pop projects, OWIS reads less like a novelty experiment and more like a serious long-game attempt to build a virtual group whose music can hold up even after the concept hook fades.
