Seungmin

Seungmin (승민), born Kim Seung-min (김승민) on September 22, 2000 in Seoul, is the main vocalist of Stray Kids. Known for a warm, honey-tinted voice with both lyrical delicacy and emotional range, he trained under JYP Entertainment after placing second in the company's 13th Open Audition in February 2017. Growing up, Seungmin aspired to be a professional baseball player and pitched right-handed throughout his youth. That background resurfaced in March 2024 when he threw the ceremonial first pitch at the MLB World Tour Seoul Series, a moment widely covered in Korean sports media. He is part of VocalRacha alongside I.N, the vocal unit of Stray Kids, and has contributed to numerous K-drama original soundtracks including Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Love in Contract, The Midnight Studio, and The Potato Lab. He has also MC'd on After School Club and We K-Pop. In June 2025, Seungmin was named Global Brand Ambassador for Burberry, joining groupmates who each hold individual luxury partnerships. He graduated from Chungdam High School in Seoul alongside bandmate Bang Chan, and is a member of the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA).
