Shinyu (신유), born Shin Jung-hwan, stands at the front of TWS as the group's leader and one of the members most responsible for its calm, polished center. Under Pledis Entertainment, he debuted on January 22, 2024 with the boyhood-pop launch that opened TWS as the label's first boy group since SEVENTEEN. The appeal was immediate: clean lines, understated charisma, and a style that sells ease without looking casual.

That positioning matters because TWS never built its identity around volume. Songs like plot twist and the group's follow-up releases worked because the members could make lightness feel precise, and Shinyu sits in the middle of that balance as both a visual anchor and performance lead. His pre-debut training path, which reportedly included time inside SM's system before the Pledis chapter, also feeds the sense of discipline that shows up on stage.

His profile widened again in 2026 when SBS added him to the new Inkigayo MC team alongside Yihyun and EJ. That weekly broadcast role gives him a lane beyond group promotion and adds another layer to TWS's early visibility.
