WONHEE
WONHEE (원희), born Lee Won-hee on June 26, 2007, is a member of ILLIT (아일릿) from Busan, South Korea, later raised in Changwon. She finished first in the public vote during the R U Next? finale, securing her spot with the highest fan support of any contestant, and debuted after just two months of training at Belift Lab, an unusually short trainee period for an idol from one of 2024's biggest debuts.
WONHEE was scouted at an Express Bus Terminal station by a HYBE representative. She had previously attended Bansong Girls' Middle School and Changwon Girls' High School before dropping out and enrolling at Hanlim Multi-Arts High School's Practical Music Department. She is also the head of the sports department at school and plays badminton. On the traditional Korean instrument side, she can play the recorder, danso, kkwaenggwari, and small drum.
Her clear, steady vocals and natural stage charisma set her apart during the competition. Fans and media describe her as a "Vocal Fairy," and the squirrel emoji is her official representative symbol. She is the youngest member of the group and is known for her energetic personality, large appetite, and love of sweet foods.
WONHEE debuted on March 25, 2024 with SUPER REAL ME. ILLIT followed with I'LL LIKE YOU (October 2024), the third EP bomb (June 2025), and the single album Not Cute Anymore (November 2025). In March 2026, she ranked first in the new idol individual brand reputation index by Star News Korea.

Why is WONHEE so popular in ILLIT?
WONHEE became a fan favorite because of her clear vocal tone, natural camera presence, and calm but instantly recognizable stage aura.
