Woozi
Lee Jihoon (이지훈), known by his stage name Woozi (우지), is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born November 22, 1996 in Busan, South Korea, he is the primary creative engine of SEVENTEEN, having written and produced the majority of the group's discography since their debut on May 26, 2015 under Pledis Entertainment.
Woozi leads SEVENTEEN's Vocal Unit and has served as the group's chief in-house composer and arranger. His KOMCA credits number in the hundreds, making him one of the most prolific idol-producers in K-pop. In January 2022, he released his first solo mixtape Ruby, an English-language free release that topped iTunes charts in 18 countries. On January 26, 2024, he released "What Kind of Future," a tribute to late ASTRO member Moonbin. In February 2025, Pledis announced a new sub-unit pairing him with fellow member Hoshi for the HOSHI X WOOZI project. He enlisted for mandatory military service on September 15, 2025, with an expected discharge in early 2027.
His INTJ-methodical approach to production has shaped SEVENTEEN's identity as one of the few acts in K-pop that genuinely writes its own music at scale. Woozi's multi-instrumental fluency (piano, guitar, drums) and his studio discipline are the foundation under everything.
