Yushi
Tokuno Yushi (得能勇志 / 토쿠노 유우시), born April 5, 2004, in Tokyo, Japan, is the main dancer, vocalist, and visual of NCT WISH (엔시티 위시), SM Entertainment's sixth and final NCT sub-unit. Scouted by SM in 2015, Yushi holds the longest training period among NCT WISH members, nearly nine years of work that built the technical precision behind his performance reputation. He briefly appeared as part of Japanese junior group Edamame Beans before departing and eventually auditioning for SM in earnest.
Yushi and Sion were introduced to the public on June 28, 2023, as the first two confirmed members of what was then called NCT Tokyo. His official NCT designation followed July 27, 2023, and the survival program NCT Universe: LASTART determined the remaining four members. An ISFJ by MBTI, Yushi cites EXO's Kai and TVXQ as his primary inspirations: it was watching them perform that first turned his attention toward dancing. Off stage he is known for a warm, understated presence, a love of spicy food and chocolate, and a personal motto of 인과응보 (what goes around comes around).
