Coupang Play (쿠팡플레이) is South Korea's fastest-growing OTT streaming platform, launched in December 2020 by e-commerce giant Coupang. Built on former Hooq assets, the service reached 8.05 million monthly active users by January 2024, becoming the first Korean streamer to surpass that milestone.

The platform gained mainstream traction after its Saturday Night Live Korea sketch lampooning presidential candidates went viral in 2022, positioning it as a cost-effective alternative to Netflix, TVING, and Wavve. Originally exclusive to Coupang's Rocket WOW paid members, the service expanded to all Coupang members as a free ad-supported platform in June 2025.

Coupang Play differentiates through premium K-drama originals and aggressive sports rights acquisition. Original programming includes One Ordinary Day (2021), Anna (2022) starring Bae Suzy, Boyhood (2023), Hide (2024) with Lee Bo-young, What Comes After Love (2024), Newtopia (2025), and the returning Saturday Night Live Korea franchise. Sports coverage spans La Liga, Bundesliga, K League, Formula One, Premier League (from 2025/26), and comprehensive AFC competitions through 2028.

In March 2025, Coupang Play acquired exclusive South Korean rights to HBO/Max content through a distribution deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, significantly expanding its international content library alongside homegrown productions.
