
Choi Hyun Suk
Choi Hyun Suk (최현석) is a South Korean rapper, dancer, and songwriter who serves as main dancer, main rapper, and vocalist in TREASURE under YG Entertainment. Born April 21, 1999, in Daegu, he emerged from the survival show YG Treasure Box to become one of the group founding members.
Before TREASURE, he competed on MIXNINE in 2017, finishing in 5th place. As part of YG Silver Boys, a notable trainee cohort, he trained alongside future members of CIX and AB6IX. He trained for five years before the group debut in August 2020 with The First Step: Chapter One. Known for his versatile performance style, he draws inspiration from G-Dragon, Zico, and Bobby.
Hyunsuk has established himself as a primary creative force within TREASURE, contributing lyrics to many of the group tracks including "BOY," "MMM," "MY TREASURE," "JIKJIN," and "HELLO." His distinctive rap style blends melodic flow with aggressive delivery. He also featured on Lee Hi 2019 single "1, 2" alongside fellow YG artists.
Alongside Haruto and Yoshi, he forms the group rapper unit, set to debut under a new sub-unit name in 2026. He served as group leader alongside Jihoon from debut until December 2024, when leadership transitioned to Junkyu and Asahi. The transition allowed him to focus more intensively on music production and songwriting.
