Kang Woojin
Kang Woojin (강우진) came out of Boys II Planet with the kind of near-miss story that usually creates a holding pattern. Instead, his timeline accelerated. After finishing No. 15 on the show, just outside the lineup that became ALPHA DRIVE ONE, he moved directly into a new debut lane under FNC Entertainment.
That lane is FLARE U, the duo he forms with Chuei Liyu. FNC opened the act's official channels in April 2026 and quickly rolled out teaser images, a logo trailer, and a full social stack that signaled real commitment rather than a soft reset. The point was clear: Woojin was not being parked after survival-show visibility. He was being repositioned into a faster, cleaner launch.
The timing is what gives him weight now. FLARE U reached the KCON Japan 2026 stage almost immediately, which turned Woojin's post-show narrative from almost-made-it trainee into active rookie artist. The pressure is still part of his story, but the stronger read in 2026 is how quickly he converted that pressure into an actual debut chapter with public channels, live stages, and a real company push behind it.
