Kim Chaewon

Kim Chaewon (김채원, born August 1, 2000) leads LE SSERAFIM as the group's anchor and creative center. Before anchoring one of K-pop's most successful fourth-generation acts, she cut her teeth through the industry's most demanding training ground.

Chaewon trained under Woollim Entertainment for 11 months before entering Mnet's Produce 48 in 2018. She finished tenth, securing a spot in project group IZ*ONE, where she spent three years building a global fanbase. The group's 2021 disbandment left her future uncertain, but Source Music moved quickly.

In March 2022, Source Music announced Chaewon alongside Sakura as LE SSERAFIM's first confirmed members. She debuted as leader on May 2, 2022, with the group's first EP "Fearless." Since then, LE SSERAFIM has become the fastest K-pop girl group to debut on the Billboard 200 at the time, with Chaewon credited as co-writer on multiple tracks including "With*One" during her IZ*ONE era.

Beyond music, Chaewon has established herself in the luxury space. In August 2024, Swarovski named her their South Korean ambassador, marking her first solo brand deal. February 2026 saw her front a PlayStation 5 campaign across Southeast Asia.
