Kim Sejeong

Kim Sejeong (김세정) is the rare entertainer who excels at everything she touches and makes it look effortless. Born August 28, 1996, in Gimje, she finished second on Produce 101, debuted with I.O.I in 2016, and then joined Jellyfish Entertainment's girl group Gugudan alongside Kang Mina. Her solo single "Flower Way" went viral before Gugudan even released their debut, a sign that Sejeong's appeal transcended any single group. After Gugudan disbanded in 2020, she pivoted to acting with a confidence that most idol-turned-actresses take years to develop. The Uncanny Counter (2020) was the breakthrough. Playing a noodle shop worker who discovers supernatural powers, Sejeong anchored a series that became one of OCN's highest-rated dramas. The sequel followed in 2023. Between those, Business Proposal (2022) proved she could carry a rom-com with the same conviction, turning a webtoon adaptation into one of Netflix's most-watched Korean series globally. Brewing Love (2024) added another register to her range, and her first single album Taeyangye arrived in December 2025.
