Megan Skiendiel

Megan Meiyok Skiendiel (梅根美玉) was born on February 10, 2006 in Honolulu, Hawaii, to a Swedish-American father and a Singaporean-Chinese mother -- a split heritage that shaped both her look and her artistic instincts. Before KATSEYE, she trained as a J-pop idol in Japan and walked runways at Paris and Los Angeles Fashion Week, building a performance vocabulary that went far beyond the average debut-cycle trainee. Inside KATSEYE, Megan functions as the all-rounder: she can hold a vocal line, anchor a formation, and carry the camera. The group's creative director Humberto Leon has cited early-2000s Devon Aoki as a style reference for her, and it tracks -- Megan's fashion-forward approach has made her the member most likely to land in an editorial context outside of the group's promotional window. KATSEYE, built by HYBE and Geffen Records, debuted in June 2024 and picked up Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance within its first full year. Megan speaks English and Cantonese. She placed 5th in The Debut: Dream Academy.
