MEOVV
MEOVV (미야오; pronounced "Meow") is a five-member girl group under THE BLACK LABEL, producer Teddy Park's independent agency, with distribution through Capitol Records and Universal Japan. Their name is an acronym for "My Eyes Open VVide," the title of their debut EP. They debuted September 6, 2024 with "MEOW" and built their sound fast: aggressive trap-pop production, heavy bass, confident lyricism, and zero filler.
Members bring serious pre-debut credentials. Ella Gross (American) entered the industry at age two with campaigns for Zara, H&M, and GAP. Gawon is a former YG Entertainment trainee and ex-Adidas model. Japanese member Anna (Anna Tanaka) was an exclusive model for Seventeen Japan from 2019 to 2021. Narin and Sooin complete the lineup.
The group's second single release in November 2024 was a double drop: "Toxic," a diary-pop R&B cut co-written by Gawon and Narin, and "Body," a dance-floor anthem. Their fandom, PAWMPAWM, was named in March 2025.
First EP MY EYES OPEN VVIDE dropped May 12, 2025, with double title tracks "Hands Up" and "Drop Top." "Hands Up" pre-released April 28 and gave the group their first music broadcast trophy on M Countdown on May 8. They closed 2025 with a MAMA Award for Favorite Rising Artist and over 3 million monthly Spotify listeners.
