Park Bo Gum

Park Bo Gum (박보검) is one of South Korea's most bankable leading men, a rare actor who combines genuine warmth with dramatic precision. Born June 16, 1993 in Seoul, he studied musical theatre at Myongji University and later earned a master's degree in New Media Music from Sangmyung University. His acting career began in 2011 with a supporting role in the thriller Blind, but it was his performance in the crime drama Hello Monster (2015) that put him on the map. The same year, he became the breakout star of Reply 1988, where his portrayal of genius Go player Choi Taek made him a household name across Asia. His leading man era kicked off with Love in the Moonlight (2016), a period romance that became one of KBS2's highest-rated dramas in years. Encounter (2018) alongside Song Hye-kyo and Record of Youth (2020) confirmed his range. He enlisted for mandatory military service in August 2020 and completed it in February 2022, signing with THE BLACK LABEL in January 2023 after a decade at Blossom Entertainment. His comeback was decisive. Netflix's When Life Gives You Tangerines (2025), a sweeping generational drama co-starring IU, became one of the platform's most-watched Korean originals. He has since completed the JTBC action comedy Good Boy and hosted The Seasons: Park Bo Gum's Cantabile.
