Park Shin-hye

Park Shin-hye (박신혜) is one of South Korea's most recognizable actresses, a force in Korean drama since she was a teenager and still commanding premiere slots two decades in. Born February 18, 1990 in Gwangju and raised in Seoul, she broke through as a child actress in Stairway to Heaven (2003) before cementing her status across a string of major hits: You're Beautiful (2009), The Heirs (2013), and Pinocchio (2014), each landing her at the center of Korea's biggest pop culture moments of their respective years. She has been included in the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity 40 list four times. In 2024 she pushed her range into darker territory with Doctor Slump and the supernatural thriller The Judge from Hell. In 2026 she brought a full comedic register to tvN's Undercover Miss Hong, playing a veteran financial inspector going undercover in a 1990s securities firm. The performance drove ratings to 12.6% in Seoul and put the show in Netflix's Global Top 10, validating a dimension of her craft audiences had not seen before. Managed by S.A.L.T Entertainment, she is married to actor Choi Tae-joon and has one child.
