PJ
PJ (피제이, Park Hyun-jin) is a South Korean singer and performer who leads Big Ocean, the hard-of-hearing trio formed by PARASTAR Entertainment. He debuted with the group in April 2024 and quickly became one of the clearest faces of K-pop's accessibility-era shift: an idol whose story is not framed around limitation, but around execution, visibility, and scale.
That scale grew fast. After Glow introduced Big Ocean to the market, PJ helped carry the group through Follow, Underwater, and 2026 mini album THE GREATEST BATTLE. In April 2025 he formally shifted from promoting as Hyunjin to the stage name PJ, aligning his public identity more tightly with the group's next chapter. He also picked up a co-composer credit on "One Man Army," which matters because it expands his role beyond front-facing leadership into the creative side of the catalog.
Big Ocean's rise has made PJ more than a breakout rookie leader. He now sits at the center of one of the most meaningful live conversations in the idol business: how K-pop can widen who gets seen on stage without lowering the performance bar. That tension, and the fact that Big Ocean keeps meeting it head-on, is why PJ remains one of the more important young artists to track on HITKULTR.
