PARASTAR Entertainment (파라스타엔터테인먼트) is South Korea's first talent agency dedicated exclusively to artists with disabilities. Founded in 2020 by CEO Haley Cha, the company was built on the belief that disability should never define the ceiling of artistic possibility. PARASTAR, whose name translates to "a star who transcends disability," set out to create a world where disabled performers compete on the same stage as anyone else.
The agency manages a diverse roster across music, acting, and media, and has established itself as a pioneer in accessible entertainment. Its most prominent act, boy group Big Ocean, became the first hard-of-hearing K-pop idol group when they debuted in April 2024. Big Ocean has since achieved international recognition, landing on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list in 2025, winning the TikTok Awards Korea Social Impact Award, and performing at the United Nations Development Programme in New York.
In 2026, Big Ocean released their third EP "The Greatest Battle" on March 3, their first physical release of the year. The agency has announced two additional singles planned for May and June 2026, and a mini-album targeting April. Member Hyunjin now performs under the stage name "PJ." PARASTAR has partnered with the Korea Employment Promotion Agency for the Disabled and continues to expand its roster of disabled talent across genres.
