Shin Ryu-jin (신류진; born April 17, 2001, Seoul), performing as Ryujin, is the main rapper, lead dancer, and center of ITZY under JYP Entertainment. Discovered at a GOT7 concert while in middle school, she attended Hanlim Multi Art School alongside future groupmate Chaeryeong, and competed on the 2017 reality show MixNine before appearing in the political crime film The King.
She officially debuted with ITZY on February 12, 2019, with the single "Dalla Dalla", quickly establishing herself as one of fourth-generation K-pop's most compelling performers. Her presence as center is magnetic: the kind of performer who pulls every camera in the room without appearing to try.
Beyond the group, Ryujin has built a solo visual and creative identity. In November 2021, she was selected as Studio Choom's "Artist of the Month" and performed a solo dance cover of Billie Eilish's "Therefore I Am". She participated in writing and composing her original solo track "Run Away", released December 22, 2023, as part of ITZY's eighth EP Born to Be. In the fashion space, she appeared in Vogue Korea in April 2023 and April 2025, the latter in collaboration with Tom Ford Beauty. She attended Gucci's Cruise 2024 show at Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul and collaborated with Ralph Lauren at the MLB Tokyo Series in March 2025. In November 2025, she was cast as Kang in the upcoming film Night on Earth, marking her first feature film role. Outside music, she has donated a combined 100 million KRW to disaster relief efforts since 2022.
