Siyeon

Siyeon (시연), born Lee Si-yeon (이시연) on May 16, 2000, is the main vocalist and guitarist of QWER under Tamago Production. Before joining the band, she spent two years inside NMB48's Team M in Osaka, giving her a rare crossover path from the Japanese idol system into a Korean live-band setup.

That background matters because Siyeon gave QWER a frontwoman with polished idol instincts from the start. Her voice carries the melodic center of the band's catalog, while her guitar work adds to the twin-string dynamic she shares with Hina. In a group built from creators and streamers as much as traditional trainees, her stage experience helped stabilize the jump from online curiosity to serious release cycle.

After graduating from NMB48 on August 8, 2023, she was announced as QWER's final member five days later and debuted with Harmony from Discord that October. Since then she has fronted the band's rise through Manito, Algorithm's Blossom, the 17-city ROCKATION tour, and the 2026 CEREMONY comeback. The pace of that transition is still one of the sharper reinventions in recent idol-band traffic.

Was Siyeon in NMB48 before QWER?
Yes. Siyeon was part of NMB48's Team M in Osaka from 2021 until her graduation on August 8, 2023. That experience gave her a polished idol-performance base before she crossed into QWER's live-band format just days later under Tamago Production.
What role does Siyeon play in QWER's sound?
Siyeon carries QWER's melodic center as the main vocalist while also contributing guitar. Her combination of front-line vocals and instrument work is a big reason the band can move between idol hooks and a fuller live-band texture without losing clarity at the center of the songs.
What major releases has Siyeon made with QWER?
Since debut, Siyeon has appeared on Harmony from Discord in 2023, Manito and Algorithm's Blossom in 2024, and CEREMONY in 2026. She also fronted the band's first world-tour era, ROCKATION, as QWER expanded across 17 cities in Korea, North America, and Asia.
