Xiumin
Kim Min-seok (김민석; born March 26, 1990), known professionally as Xiumin (시우민), is a South Korean singer and actor. He is the eldest member of EXO, part of its sub-group EXO-M, and the leader of sub-unit EXO-CBX. Born in Seongbuk-dong, Seoul, and raised in Guri, Gyeonggi Province, he placed second in SM Entertainment's Everysing Contest in 2008, joining as a trainee that same year. He was announced as EXO's seventh member in January 2012 and made his group debut on April 8, 2012.
A trained martial artist, Xiumin holds black belts in both Kendo and Taekwondo and has studied Wushu and Fencing. He is also an honorary ambassador for the Korea Football Association.
Beyond music, Xiumin has steadily built an acting resume. His 2015 web drama Falling for Challenge became the most-watched web drama in South Korea that year, surpassing 20 million views in its first 17 days. He made his film debut in 2016 with the historical comedy Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River alongside Yoo Seung-ho.
Xiumin enlisted for mandatory military service on May 7, 2019, and was discharged on December 6, 2020. His solo career launched on September 26, 2022, with the EP Brand New. In January 2024, he joined INB100, the label founded by Baekhyun, for solo management while EXO group activities remain under SM Entertainment. In March 2025, he released his second solo EP Interview X with lead single 'Whee!', followed by the digital single 'Overdrop' in October 2025.
