Yoonchae Jeung

Yoonchae Jeung (정윤채) is the youngest member of KATSEYE and the group's sole Korean representative. Born on December 6, 2007, in Seoul, South Korea, she passed auditions at 13 before stepping into The Debut: Dream Academy, the HYBE and Geffen Records project that built KATSEYE in public. As the group's maknae, Yoonchae brings a trained K-pop performance core to a lineup designed for global pop scale. She has cited BTS as the act that pushed her toward the industry, and that training shows up in the details: clean lines, musical timing, and a calm stage read that helps balance KATSEYE's more extroverted edges. KATSEYE debuted in June 2024 under HYBE and Geffen with the EP SIS (Soft Is Strong), then expanded fast with Beautiful Chaos in 2025. The group hit the Billboard 200, pushed "Gabriela" into the Billboard Hot 100 conversation, and turned Yoonchae into one of the youngest Korean artists connected to a Grammy-nominated global-pop project. She remains one of the clearest bridges between rigorous idol training and HYBE's Western-market expansion play.
