Brain Candy Books is Capstone's high-energy nonfiction brand built for kids who consume information in short, visual bursts. Launched in 2025, the line mixes stats, quizzes, lists, crafts, infographics, and photo-heavy layouts to make browsing feel like reading progress instead of homework.

Capstone positions the imprint as a direct answer to declining reading-for-fun habits and lower reading stamina among children. The rollout started with 25 titles across series including Your Favorite Stars, Would You Rather?, Fact Frenzy, Info Fanatic, and the Sports Illustrated Kids almanacs, all designed to pull reluctant readers back into books through quick-hit curiosity.

The line broke into K-pop conversation when Jungkook of BTS was announced for a 2026 Your Favorite Stars edition, giving Brain Candy a clean pop-culture bridge without changing its classroom-first purpose. It is still educational publishing at heart, just packaged with much better instinct for what young readers actually stop scrolling for.
