Ahn Hyo-seop

Ahn Hyo-seop (안효섭; born April 6, 1992) started as a JYP Entertainment trainee in Seoul before his family relocated to Toronto, where he grew up bilingual and bicultural. After a brief stint in the project group One O One (2015), he pivoted to acting the same year with MBC's Splash Splash Love, and the transition proved definitive. His portrayal of Seo Woo-jin in Dr. Romantic 2 (2020) made him one of Korean drama's most reliable leading men, but it was Business Proposal (2022) opposite Kim Sejeong that turned him into a global name: the series entered the Netflix top ten worldwide, one of the platform's strongest-performing Korean dramas of that year. A Time Called You (2023) and Dr. Romantic 3 (2023) sustained the momentum. In 2025, he crossed into animation and film simultaneously, voicing Jinu in Sony Pictures Animation's KPop Demon Hunters and starring in the live-action blockbuster Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy. KPop Demon Hunters became the most-watched Netflix original ever with over 500 million views. A Canadian citizen with a degree in International Business from Kookmin University, Ahn is managed by The Present Company. In 2026, he returns to romantic comedy with Sold Out, Today Too (오늘도 매진했습니다), marking his first lead drama role since Dr. Romantic 3.
