Magenta

Magenta (마젠타), born Lee Ah-hee (이아희) on June 2, 1997, in Pohang, North Gyeongsang, South Korea, is the bassist of the South Korean girl band QWER under Tamago Production. She describes her childhood as a lonely one, attending a middle school with a high rate of bullying, where she spent much of her time drawing alone rather than socializing. She eventually found community online, building an audience on Twitch and becoming a content creator before music entered the picture. Magenta had no formal bass training before joining QWER. She picked up the instrument when she was recruited for the project in mid-2023, developing her skills in just a few months through self-study and daily practice. That rapid progression, from beginner to stage-ready bassist, became part of the QWER origin story documented in the label's YouTube series OSHI NO GIRLS. Her MBTI type is INFP, and her favorite color is magenta -- the vibrant pink that gave her the stage name she carries. She represents the letter W in QWER. Magenta debuted with QWER on October 18, 2023, with the single album Harmony from Discord. The band completed their first world tour, ROCKATION, spanning 17 cities in 2025, and announced their fourth mini album CEREMONY for release on April 27, 2026.
