Jinyoung
Jinyoung (박진영, Park Jin-young) built one of the cleaner second acts in idol acting because he never treated music and drama like separate brands. After winning a JYP Entertainment audition in 2009 and debuting with GOT7 in 2014, he kept pushing both lanes until the overlap became the point: a vocalist with real screen control, not an idol borrowing prestige from acting between comeback cycles.
That balance sharpened after GOT7 left JYP. Jinyoung moved to BH Entertainment in 2021, took on The Devil Judge and Yumi's Cells, then paused for military service from May 2023 to November 2024. The return was quick. GOT7 reunited for Winter Heptagon, while his solo and acting schedule rolled straight into The Witch, Our Unwritten Seoul, and JTBC's Still Shining.
What keeps the profile strong in 2026 is range without drift. Jinyoung can still anchor idol catalog, but the BH era proved he can also carry romantic drama and thriller material as a lead. That makes him one of the more durable crossover cases of his generation, not just a familiar face from a successful group.
