
Yuqi
Song Yuqi (宋雨琦), known by her stage name Yuqi (우기), is a Chinese singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer in i-dle. Born September 23, 1999, in Beijing, she auditioned for CUBE Entertainment in 2015 after watching Kim Soo-hyun in My Love from the Star inspired her to learn Korean with her mother.
Yuqi holds the main dancer, sub-vocalist, and sub-rapper positions in i-dle, bringing a distinctive husky vocal tone that sets her apart. Her Chinese variety profile expanded through Keep Running (Season 7 onwards), while her hosting skills earned comparisons to Yoo Jae-seok for her quick wit and fluent Korean (TOPIK Level 5). She hosted KakaoTV Learn Way (2020-2021) and appeared on Knowing Bros, Running Man, and Law of the Jungle in Myanmar.
As a solo artist, Yuqi debuted in May 2021 with single album A Page featuring Giant and Bonnie & Clyde. Her first Korean EP YUQ1 dropped in April 2024 with lead single Freak, followed by single album Motivation in September 2025 with lead single M.O. Her songwriting credits span i-dle discography, including tracks on I Burn, I Never Die, I Love, and I Feel.
Beyond music, Yuqi made her acting debut in Netflix Celebrity (2023) as Zhang Wei. Her brand work includes ambassadorships with Fendi (2024), Tory Burch (2024), Adidas (2024), and Anessa. She collaborated with Alan Walker and JVKE on Fire! (2023) and appeared on Street Woman Fighter 2 with bandmate Miyeon.
