WAKEONE Entertainment

WAKEONE Entertainment (웨이크원) is a South Korean entertainment company under CJ ENM, founded on February 18, 2014 by Son Dong-hoon as MMO Entertainment (Music Makes One -- a reference to Mnet's long-running slogan). The company rebranded as Onefect Entertainment in March 2020, then relaunched as WAKEONE in May 2021 when CJ ENM integrated four in-house management labels -- Stone Music Entertainment, One Effect Entertainment, Studio Blu, and Off the Record -- into a single entity. Its headquarters are at 153 Tojeong-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul. WAKEONE's model revolves around Mnet survival programs as a primary talent pipeline. Off the Record (a joint venture with MMO and CJ ENM, founded September 2018) had previously co-managed Iz*One from Produce 48 and fromis_9 from Idol School. After Iz*One's disbandment and fromis_9's transfer to Pledis Entertainment, WAKEONE continued with: Girls Planet 999 winner Kep1er (co-managed with Swing Entertainment from October 2021), and Boys Planet winner ZEROBASEONE, which debuted in July 2023 and broke first-week sales records in K-pop at the time. In April 2024, Swing Entertainment formally merged into WAKEONE, expanding the combined roster to include Jo Yu-ri, Kim Feel, and Ha Hyun-sang. In the same year, six members selected through I-Land 2: N/a debuted as IZNA (October 2024) -- WAKEONE's first permanent girl group on a standard contract, produced by The Black Label. ZEROBASEONE's original contract concluded in January 2026 after a two-month extension. Four members who had been signed to YH Entertainment (Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, Han Yu-jin) departed upon expiration. WAKEONE confirmed the group would continue as a five-member lineup: Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, and Park Gunwook. The label's newest group, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, debuted on June 23, 2025, with the single album Famous, with five members: ANNIE, TARZZAN, BAILEY, WOOCHAN, and YOUNGSEO. Nam So-young, formerly of SM Entertainment, was appointed CEO in November 2025.
