Byun Yo-han
Byun Yo-han (변요한) built his breakout the hard way. The actor came out of Korea National University of Arts, piled up more than 30 short-film credits, and then forced himself into the center of the conversation with Misaeng: Incomplete Life. That grind still shows in the work. Even when a project gets bigger, he keeps the same live-wire tension that made early filmmakers trust him.
That edge has carried across period drama, prestige television, and heavyweight film. Byun turned Misaeng into a long-term career lane, sharpened it through Mr. Sunshine, and kept the momentum moving with The Book of Fish, Hansan: Rising Dragon, and the 2024 MBC thriller Black Out. On the TV side, he has also stayed close to performance-first collaborators, including Tiffany Young in Uncle Samsik.
Now working under TEAMHOPE, Byun sits in the actor tier Korean filmmakers call when a part needs volatility, intelligence, and emotional drag. He is not padding his resume. He is choosing projects that keep his filmography dense, whether that means a period piece, a thriller for MBC, or a feature like Shaving tied to Star Platinum Co., Ltd..
