
Jeon Soyeon
Jeon Soyeon (전소연, born August 26, 1998) is a South Korean rapper, singer, and record producer. She leads the K-pop group (G)I-dle under Cube Entertainment, writing and producing most of the group's lead singles since their 2018 debut.
Soyeon first gained attention on Produce 101 (2016), reaching 20th place, and Unpretty Rapstar 3, where she finished as runner-up. She signed with Cube Entertainment after attending their 2014 auditions and debuted solo in November 2017 with "Jelly." She formed (G)I-dle the following year, taking on leadership and creative director duties.
Her production credits include (G)I-dle's entire discography from "Latata" through "Super Lady," establishing the group's signature sound. She also composed CLC's "No," selected through a blind test, and contributed production to Cube's roster. In 2024, she became a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association, recognizing her body of work.
Soyeon voices Akali in the League of Legends virtual groups K/DA and True Damage. "Pop/Stars" with K/DA reached number one on Billboard's World Digital Songs chart and accumulated over 600 million YouTube views. She graduated from Chung-Ang University in 2017.
