Jisoo

Jisoo (김지수, Kim Ji-soo; born January 3, 1995, Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea) is the quiet force behind some of K-pop's biggest milestones. As the eldest member and lead vocalist of BLACKPINK since 2016, she anchored the group's domestic resonance while building one of K-pop's more credible parallel acting careers. Her 2023 solo debut single album Me became the best-selling album by a female soloist in South Korean chart history at the time, moving over a million copies in its first month. Lead single "Flower" peaked at number two on the Billboard Global 200, a record for Korean female soloists. After the group's 2023 contract renewal, she founded BLISSOO, her own management and content company, signed with Warner Records, and released the EP Amortage (2025), which included the single "Earthquake." On screen, she has earned recognition beyond the idol-acting category: JTBC's Snowdrop (2021), Newtopia (2025), the film Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy (2025), and the 2026 JTBC drama Boyfriend on Demand. Dior has held her as a global ambassador since 2021; she also serves as global ambassador for Alo Yoga and Cartier. The combined profile, built across music, acting, fashion, and label ownership, reflects a deliberate post-BLACKPINK architecture that requires no group context to stand on its own.
