Jisoo

Jisoo (지수), born Kim Ji-soo on January 3, 1995, has built one of the most balanced post-group careers in K-pop. As the eldest member of BLACKPINK, she helped anchor the group's global rise. Outside the group, she moved with unusual discipline into solo music, acting, and company building without letting any one lane feel half-committed.

Her first solo release, ME in 2023, became the first album by a Korean female soloist to sell more than one million copies. That gave her an individual commercial base before she launched BLISSOO in 2024 to oversee her solo career. The next step was Amortage in 2025, a release cycle that widened her identity beyond the one-song breakthrough of "Flower" and showed how she wanted her solo catalog to sit apart from BLACKPINK's group scale.

Jisoo's screen work matters just as much to the bigger picture. Snowdrop established her as more than an idol trying acting on the side, and later titles such as Newtopia and Boyfriend on Demand kept that lane active while luxury partners like Dior, Cartier, and Alo Yoga reinforced her premium market position. She now looks less like a group member doing solo projects and more like a full entertainment operator with BLACKPINK still as the foundation.
