Park Ji-hoon

Park Ji-hoon (박지훈), born May 29, 1999, in Busan, South Korea, is a singer and actor who came to national attention in 2017 through Mnet's Produce 101 Season 2. He finished second in the show's final ranking, which placed him directly into Wanna One, the eleven-member project group formed from the top vote-getters. Wanna One operated from August 2017 through January 2019, selling millions of albums and performing to capacity crowds. Park Ji-hoon's visual designation and vocal contributions made him one of the most recognized members internationally. Following Wanna One's disbandment, he had been active as a child actor before his Produce 101 run, and after the group concluded, he launched a solo career under Maroo Entertainment. His solo debut came on March 26, 2019, with the mini-album "O'Clock," and he has maintained a consistent solo discography since. His fandom name is MAY, a reference to his birth month. The actor side of his career broke through with the web drama "Weak Hero Class 1" (2022), where he played the lead role of Yeon Si-eun, a cerebral high school student whose unyielding resistance to bullying is framed through tactical thinking rather than physical strength.
