RIIZE

RIIZE (라이즈) is SM Entertainment's first boy group launch in seven years, debuting September 4, 2023, with the single album Get a Guitar. The group name fuses "Rise" and "Realize," a nod to collective growth. Currently six members strong after Seunghan's departure in October 2024, RIIZE has positioned itself as SM's flagship act for a new generation of "emotional pop." The group's formation drew from SM's deep bench. SHINee role model Shotaro and Sungchan transferred from NCT, bringing built-in fanbases. Eunseok emerged from SM Rookies after six years of training. Wonbin, Sohee, and Anton rounded out a lineup designed for global reach, with Anton (son of producer Yoon Sang) adding American roots to the mix. Get a Guitar moved over a million copies in its first week, the second-highest debut week for a rookie album at the time. Follow-up single "Love 119" earned their first music show wins in January 2024. By June 2024, RIIZE released their debut EP Riizing, supported by a fan-con tour across nine countries. The repackage Riizing: Epilogue dropped in September 2024, followed by a Japanese debut with "Lucky." 2025 brought their first full album ODYSSEY in May and second single Fame in November. A Billboard cover shoot, KCON LA performance before debut, and RCA Records partnership for US distribution have expanded their footprint well beyond the Korean market. RIIZE's sound sits at the intersection of bright pop hooks and genuine emotional texture, a formula that's resonated with 2.7 million monthly Spotify listeners and counting.
