Yuna
Shin Yu-na (신유나), known as Yuna, is the maknae, lead rapper, and one of the lead dancers of ITZY under JYP Entertainment. Born December 9, 2003, in Suwon, South Korea, she competed in national-level floorball tournaments for Gyeonggi Province before a JYP Entertainment casting agent spotted her at a music festival in 2016. She joined as a trainee that year and attended Hanlim Multi Art School, graduating in February 2022.
Yuna debuted with ITZY on February 12, 2019, with It'z Different and its lead single "Dalla Dalla." Within a month of debut, she ranked second in the Korean Business Research Institute's brand reputation ranking for individual girl group members, behind only Jennie of BLACKPINK. Her visual presence quickly established her as one of fourth-generation K-pop's defining style icons, often cited alongside Jang Won-young and Karina as the generation's top visuals.
Yuna became a fixture at year-end stages: her 2022 solo cover of Lee Hyori's "U-Go-Girl" at the KBS Song Festival became the event's most viewed solo act, and her 2023 cover of Jennie's "You & Me" at SBS Gayo Daejeon drew equal acclaim. In December 2024, she performed "Pocket Locket" alongside Aespa's Karina and NMIXX's Sullyoon at the MBC Music Festival.
In January 2025, she was named the muse for Dynafit's Spring/Summer 2025 women's line and attended the Coach Fall/Winter 2025 show in Manhattan. She also serves as a global ambassador for Infinix Mobile. In 2025, Yuna made her acting debut in the tvN retro drama Undercover Miss Hong as Hong Jang-mi, and was cast in the tvN romance Favorite Employee. Her debut solo album is scheduled for release in March 2026.
